for IMPES Service.
In the industrial sector, upgrading and improving existing facilities is essential to maintain the efficiency and safety of operations. In the case of a cement plant, the electrical system plays a vital role in ensuring reliable and safe operation, the electrical system revamping, with a specific focus on the busbars ensured energy efficiency, operational safety and regulatory compliance.
The purpose of the supply for T.M. S.R.L. was the design and construction of a new pipeline and related busbars for IMPES, for the Italcementi Group cement factory in Matera.
The old pipeline has been replaced by a modern and efficient solution with a new busbar system.
The busway system is used for the distribution of electrical energy in commercial and industrial work environments, where the installation of electrical machines and equipment of a certain importance is planned, the main feature of this energy distribution system is the absence of electrical cables.
Last but not least, the importance of meeting the stringent regulations and safety standards to which the electrical system of a cement plant is subjected, the revamping offered the opportunity to adapt the system to the latest regulations.
The electrical system revamping procedure for the integration of the new busway system required a detailed analysis of the existing system that goes from a careful inspection, to the identification of critical areas and the development of a customized upgrade plan. Subsequently, the technicians of T.M. S.R.L. proceeded to the safe removal of the old systems to proceed with the installation of the busway and busway devices, the fine-tuning of the system and the final performance verification.
