T.M.’s more than twenty-year experience guarantees the company important partnerships with leading companies in the electromechanical and electrical systems world. Today, T.M. is able to present itself on the market as the sole interface for the creation of systems.

Test Benches

T.M. is able to offer test benches and special electrical equipment. Test benches can have various uses that require dedicated design.

Test benches usually consist of a voltage regulator, a dedicated component, a metal case containing all the components. The button panel and instrumentation are usually installed on the case: Input voltmeter with relative switch for reading the input voltage, Digital ammeters to measure the output current from the device under test, Buttons and LEDs.

T.M. is also able to offer instruments for measuring step and contact currents and for measuring the resistance of earth rods for power generation and transformation stations according to CEI standards. The equipment includes a power generator that injects the current between the rod under test and the auxiliary rods, a power generator consisting of a voltage regulator under load that allows for excellent continuity of the applied power;

The voltage is detected between two probes of standard weight and size and the measurements are performed by connecting to the sums a voltmeter and a load that simulates the impedance of the human (accessories not included in the instrument). This solution allows to minimize the measurement times that otherwise would be enormously extended by the pauses imposed by the cooling times.

MV/LV Transformers

The transformer is a very important element for the creation of the electrical system, for this reason T.M. has decided to enter into commercial agreements capable of satisfying the needs of its customers. T.M. relies on solid companies that have been present on the national and international market for years, and is able to supply transformers of different powers from 50kVA to 40MVA, and with different insulation classes, reaching up to the 72.5kV class.

Transformers can have various types of insulation, and thanks to our partners, we are able to provide the following solutions:
Epoxy resin transformers for power up to 15MVA – 24kV.
Mineral oil transformers for power up to 40MVA – 72.5kV.
Dry transformers for power up to 10MVA.

All transformers intended for the Italian market fully comply with the ECODESIGN regulation (EN 50588-1) which came into force on 1 July 2015.

Voltage Stabilizers and Variators

Electronic voltage stabilizers (also called Current stabilizers) are very special and delicate power supplies. These devices are based on the principle of the motorized variable autotransformer and are consequently composed of a transformer, a variable autotransformer, a servomotor and an electronic control circuit.

T.M., thanks to its commercial partners, is able to supply both standard machines and “ad hoc” machines created according to the needs of the plant, fully satisfying any need. The following types of stabilizers are available:

Single-phase stabilizers

Voltage regulation, in a three-phase system, can be performed independently on each phase: to be preferred, especially when there are three-phase and single-phase loads, with imbalances up to 100% and/or with the possibility of unbalanced input voltage. In this case the stabilizer will be equipped with neutral.

Three-phase stabilizers

Voltage regulation in a three-phase system can be achieved on the average of the phases: it can be used in the presence of three-phase and two-phase loads with maximum imbalances up to 50%, with symmetrical input voltage. In this case the stabilizer will not be equipped with neutral.

Functionally, these tools can be used to stabilize the voltage inside a plant or the supply voltage of electronic machines to avoid deterioration or even damage. They can be used in civil, industrial and electro-medical fields, or in countries where the value of the distributed electrical voltage undergoes significant variations.

Voltage Regulators (single-phase or three-phase electromechanical adjustable autotransformers) have the function of regulating the output voltage to a certain value and are used:
○ In test benches and test rooms, to test products that must be powered at different voltages.
○ For the production of test benches where it is necessary to reach the operating voltage gradually.
○ For the production of machinery for winding reels containing yarns or other materials.

Electric motors

The presence of T.M. on the market and the different types of use of its products, has led the company to have commercial relationships with the main manufacturers of electric motors, for this reason we are able to satisfy any need. T.M. relies on solid companies that have been present on the national and international market for years, and is able to supply machines for industrial, naval and traction applications.

○ Low and medium voltage asynchronous cage and slip ring electric motors with power up to 15,000kW – 15kV in standard execution, special for heavy duty and in explosion-proof execution (flame-proof applications ATEX EEx“n”, EEx“e”, EEx“d”, EEx“p”).
○ Direct current motors up to 4,000kW.
○ Synchronous motors.

The design and production of these machines perfectly meet the various international standards of the industrial sector, such as IEC, NEMA, AISE, MILL, ASA, ANSI, VDE, JEMA.

Generators

Generators have always been a very important product for the electrical world, and T.M. has entered into commercial agreements with leading companies in the sector to meet customer needs.

In mechanical and electrical engineering, the generator is a machine consisting of a thermal engine coupled to an electric generator (alternator), which guarantees the production of electrical energy from combustion thermal energy through two cascade conversions: from thermal energy to mechanical energy and from mechanical energy to electrical energy.

Generators can work in continuous service, such as in construction sites where the electrical network is not yet active, or in emergency situations, such as in operating rooms, used in the event of a power failure.

T.M. is able to offer asynchronous and/or synchronous generators for the hydroelectric, thermoelectric and wind sectors with power up to 40MVA.
